Dr. Susan Nguyen
Dr. Susan Nguyen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is trained in these surgical methods that save teeth and regenerate bones while offering fast healing and minimal discomfort and downtime.
Dr. Nguyen served in the U.S. Army Reserve for nine years and is active in the local dental community. While serving as a past Board of Director and in leadership positions as President-elect, Secretary and Chairman for Continuing Education for the San Diego County Dental Society, teaching as clinical professor at UCSD, mentoring pre-dental students, volunteering at Veterans Village of San Diego, SD Medical Reserve Corp as a COVID-19 vaccinator and California Disaster Healthcare, Dr. Nguyen educates colleagues, medical providers and the public about oral health.

Dr. Joyce Yang Turner
Dr. Turner is a highly accomplished board-certified Periodontist with a distinguished career in the United States Navy.
She earned her BS in Biochemistry from UC San Diego and her DDS from the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry on a Health Professional Scholarship. Her 20-year Navy career included a duty station abroad to Japan, a humanitarian deployment on the USNS Mercy, training residents at the Graduate Periodontics program and serving with the Fleet Marine Force.
Dr. Turner is a compassionate dentist who understands a patient’s anxiety and pain, treating them not just with clinical skill, but with empathy and gentle care to make every visit as comfortable as possible. This approach transforms a stressful experience into one built on trust and kindness
Dr. Turner is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and the International College of Dentists, maintaining active membership in numerous professional organizations. She lives in San Diego with her husband, 3 kids and 2 dogs.

Dr. Christensen Sicat Hsu
Dr. Hsu is grateful to be back in North San Diego County after 21 years of combined active duty service in the Navy and Army Dental Corps. She grew up in San Diego County and graduated from El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. She earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Kinesiology at the University of California Los Angeles and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at New York University College of Dentistry.
She completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Naval Dental Center San Diego and the 4-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. After reaching the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army, she was selected as a resident student at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where she earned a Masters in Strategic Studies (MSS). She is an accomplished clinician and a proven leader with corporate management experience. She is an advocate for global health engagements and led teams of healthcare professionals in over 250 global health exchanges and humanitarian missions throughout the South Pacific and Asia. She also serves as a mentor for the AEGD Program, NYU Langone Health at the APLA Health Downtown Dental Clinic in Los Angeles, California. She is a dedicated professional and a compassionate clinician who strives to give every patient a positive experience. She is a life-long learner committed to presenting her patients with the most current treatment options. Dr. Hsu recognizes that her patients are unique individuals with different needs who have placed a great deal of trust in her. Dr. Hsu is happy to serve the community and to work closely with other dental professionals to help patients achieve optimal oral health.
