Dr. Susan Nguyen grew up in San Diego. Dr. Nguyen earned her B.S. at UCSD and her DDS, Certificate of Specialty in Periodontics, as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Nguyen is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. For those looking for minimally invasive periodontal therapies, Dr. Nguyen is trained in the state-of-the-art laser surgical therapy using the LANAP, Pin-Hole Surgical, Piezosurgery, and atraumatic extraction techniques. Dr. Nguyen also served in the United States Army Reserve Dental Corp for nine years as a general dentist and Periodontist. Dr. Nguyen is actively involved San Diego County Dental Society and has also served over ten years as Co-Chairman and committee member for the Continuing Education. Dr. Nguyen is also a UCSD associate clinical professor and is active in the San Diego dental community volunteering at Veteran Village, educating colleagues, medical providers and public in oral health and mentoring pre-dental students. In her time away from the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys listening to music, going to musical and play, traveling and learning about other cultures, volunteering at his son’s school, being imaginative with providing healthy cuisines for my family, and trying to keep up with my sport enthusiastic son and husband.
